Watkinsville - Phyllis Stirling, 75, died peacefully at her home on August 17, 2007.
Born and raised in Hartford, Conn., she lived in Watkinsville, Ga., for the last ten years. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Felicia Denalsky and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stirling. She was a member of the Oconee Presbyterian Church, Watkinsville Garden Club, and the Red Hat Society.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at 10:00 AM at Oconee Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Home, Watkinsville.
Survivors include six children, Mark Lotane of Watkinsville, Ga., Cynthia Lotane of Bellevue, Wash., Gregory Lotane of Burbank, Calif., Garth Lotane of Rixeyville, Va., Heather Moon of Bogart, Ga., and Stephanie Lotane of Sebastopol, Calif.; nine grandchildren; five sisters, Rose Roberts, Marion Colby, Judy Zaku, Jean White, Sonia Montineri; two brothers, Edward Denalski and Stephen Denalski.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VistaCare Hospice Foundation, 150 Ben Burton Road, Bogart, GA 30622, or Arthritis National Research Foundation, 200 Oceangate Suite 830, Long Beach, CA 90802.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
