Phyllis Florence Rasmussen

Phyllis Florence (Cornuet) Rasmussen died Thursday, April 12, 2018, in Athens, GA. Born March 2, 1929 in Dysart, PA, she lived most of her life in the Akron, Ohio area.
She was a member of Bethel Valley United Methodist, Akron, and retired from Fred Arbogast Company after 30 years in 1989.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Robert Bennett Rasmussen in 2009 and brothers Richard Cornuet and William Oshell.
Survivors include 3 sons: Kenneth and Carol (Ciborek) Rasmussen of Athens, GA; Randy and Cindy (Mozingo) Rasmussen of Greensboro, NC; Robert Peter Rasmussen of Cleveland, OH; and stepdaughter Terry Ann (Rasmussen) Garduno of Santee, CA; brother Harry Oshell of Akron, OH and sister Alfreda Pry of Howell, MI. She was a loving grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of thirteen.
A service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Road, Akron. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am to noon Friday.
