Phillip Raymond Palmer, 62, of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021.

Born in Dekalb County, he was a son of the late Raymond Larry Palmer and Clara Christine Presley Palmer. He was an avid University of Georgia fan and he loved Nascar. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jonell Scarborough-Palmer; two sons, Phillip Joseph Aaron Palmer and Ronnie Scarborough and great-granddaughter, Dinah Whited.

Survivors include children, Paige Barrett, Jeff Scarborough, Rodney Scarborough and Mariah Sims; two siblings, Anne Holliday (Randy) and Elaine Ray; grandchildren, Chad Scarborough, Chasity Sosby, Jamie Cason, Martin Pass, Kimberly Pass, Josh Watson and Sabrina McConnell and eight great-grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Mordecai Whited, Mason Scarborough, McKinley Scarborough, Sierra Scarborough, Aerielle King, Adilyn King and Raelynn Pass and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial services will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East. Burial will follow at Bible Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
