Watkinsville - Phillip L. Shouse, III, 68 died June 23, 2006.
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, he lived in Watkinsville, GA since 1979. He was a son of the late Ruth Sherrill and Phillip L. Shouse, Jr. and was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie S. Shouse.
Mr. Shouse was active in the textile industry for over forty years. He was a member of and served on several research committees of the American Association of Textile Colorists and Chemists. He was also a member of the Textile Quality Control Association, serving as President in the 1990s. Mr. Shouse was involved with the American Diabetes Association on local and state levels, and served as a member of the State Board of Governors.
Memorial services were Sunday, June 25, 2006, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST.
The Rev. Dr. Jimmy Long officiated.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Shouse; two sons and daughter-in-law, David W. Shouse of Watkinsville, GA, Scott and June Shouse of Daytona Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Steven Alexander Shouse and Christopher Harrison Shouse.
