Mr. Philip Homer Roberts, 79, of Watkinsville, Ga. died Sunday July 4, 2010. Mr. Roberts was born in Clarksville, Ga. to the late Homer and Jessie Groves Roberts. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Navy. He was employed by Standridge Color for a number of years. Mr. Roberts was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be Tuesday July 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Mike Sarratt officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday July 5, 2010 from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Helen A. Roberts, Watkinsville, Ga. sons David P. Roberts and Donny L. Roberts. Sister Emma Turner, grandchildren Brenda Carlton, and Amy Norwood great grandchildren, Eva Carlton, Chloe Carlton, James Pritchett Norwood.
In lieu of Flowers Donations may be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church Bus Fund 2661 Mars Hill Road Watkinsville, GA 30677
