Peter Joseph Malz died December 1, 2011.
Born in Chicago, IL April 25, 1931, he attended on a football scholarship and graduated from the University of Illinois where he was second in the nation in high hurdles. Shortly thereafter, he was stationed at Fort Jackson, SC where he was a 1st Lieutenant in the Army. He met and married his loving wife, Ann Louise Howell, in Columbia. He was an Amoco Oil Executive for 34 years until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ann.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Louise, his daughter, Felicia Kautz and her husband, James, his daughter, Julia Freund, her children, Weston and Ray and her husband Andrew and his daughter Louise Kistler and her children, Seth and Caroline and their father, John Kistler; brother, Roland Malz; and nephew, Marco Malz.
He was a wonderful father and family man and shall be missed dearly.
Graveside services will be11:30 Monday, December 5, 2011 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roswell, GA with Deacon Ed LaHouse officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Blind Veterans Association or to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
