Peggy Ann Holbrooks

Watkinsville, GA - Peggy Ann Gilliard Holbrooks, 80, died December 13, 2014.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Pauline West Gilliard and was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, J B Holbrooks and brothers, Wayman and Billy Gilliard.
Mrs. Holbrooks retired from Sears following more than 30 years of service. Mrs. Holbrooks taught Sunday School since the age of 16, sang in choirs and with gospel groups and was an ordained minister. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God and Heritage Fellowship.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST with Revs. Robert Sheppard, Tim Vaughn and Howard Conine officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Gary Waters, Duke Llewallyn, Pete Hatch, Earl Holbrooks, Glenn Gilliard and Gerry Wilson.
Survivors include her daughters, Jackie Chaney of Douglas, Gail (Steve) Cauley of Conyers and Melissa (James) Montalvo of Bogart; brothers, Joe Gilliard (Brenda) and Ben Gilliard (Elaine) of Greenville, SC; sisters in law, Sylvia Gilliard of Morristown, TN and Ann Gilliard of Mauldin, SC; grandchildren, Jason (Shelly) Parker, Ray (Jamie) Parker, Josh (Heather) Parker, Rian Oliva and David (Mande) Cauley); 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Memorials may be made to Heritage Fellowship of Watkinsville.
