Pearl Yvonne Miller, 85, wife of nearly 69 years to the late Reverend Bobby Gene “B.G.” Miller, Sr., died Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Born in Jackson, TN, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie M. Stubblefield and Jimmie Pearl Lynch Stubblefield.
Mrs. Miller and Rev. Miller married on January 1, 1952. They began serving in the ministry in 1956, in Dyersburg, Tennessee. She and Rev. Miller founded The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and pastored together there from 1956-1963. In January of 1964, they moved to East Booneville Pentecostal Church in Booneville, Mississippi and served together there 1 year. In August of 1966, the Miller family moved to Crawford, Georgia, after accepting the pastorate of the Crawford Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, now known as Crawford Pentecostal Church. They served the Crawford church for 35 years. After retiring they continued to minster in various churches and in January of 2003 they accepted the pastorate of the First Pentecostal Church of Scotts Hill, TN, for 3 years. Since 2015 she was a member of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church in Colbert, GA.
Mrs. Miller served as a Pink Lady at the Minnie G. Boswell Memorial Hospital for 25 years.
Survivors include four children Bobby G Miller, JR., (Cindy F), Larry Miller, Marilyn Perry and Kevin Miller (Cindy L), 12 grandchildren; Nicole (Rodney) Hicks, Tonya (Phillip) Nelson, Crystal Miller, Brandon Miller, Tosha Perry, Dustin Miller, (Mandi), Ashley (Nate) Barnett, Blake (Bethany) Miller, Brent (Victoria) Miller, Tori Johnson, Dallas Miller, Levi Miller; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at Lord and Stephens East Chapel on Friday, July 29, 2022, 2:00 with Pastors Blake Miller and Bobby Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 at the funeral home prior to the service.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, Colbert.
