Winder -Pearl C. Hayes, 91, wife of the late Guy S. Hayes, died Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Embracing Hospice of Snellville.
A native of Oglethorpe County, Pearl was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Ida Sanders Chandler. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Jeann H. Greenway. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Pearl was a member of Temple United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children: Ellen Cook of Dacula, Sue Malcom of Bartow, FL, Tommy Hayes of Winterville, Joe Hayes of Winder, sisters; Dorothy Bates of Winterville, Ruth Power of Lincolnton, grandchildren: Gloria Purser, Cynthia Cook, Diane Reeder, Denise Miller, Donna Burdette, Thomas Hayes, Travis Hayes; 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8, 2007 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel. Burial will follow at Temple United Methodist Church. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
