Paul Edward "Buzz" Hammond

Paul Edward "Buzz" Hammond, 49, died June 5, 2012.
Born in Maryville, TN, he has made his home in Athens since 1976. He was the son of Pat Hammond (Linda) of Arnoldsville and the late Patricia Gayle Dalton. Buzz was a longtime Athens musician, playing with bands that included Little Tigers, Green House and Time Toy. He helped the music scene in Athens, assisting other bands through the years with studio work.
Survivors in addition to his father include his brother, Phil Hammond (Gloria), niece, Christina, nephew, Zack, all of Bogart and companion, Donna Scott.
Services will be Sunday, June 10, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Lord and Stephens, WEST. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Potters House or the Athens Area Homeless Shelter.
Lord and Stephens, WEST is in charge of arrangements.
