Fairfax, Va. - Paul Harvey Gulley, 48, died June 2, 2007. He is survived by his mother, Grace W. Gulley, Athens; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold Gulley and Angela Ray, Skokie, Ill.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. His father, Edd E. Gulley, preceded him in death in 2003.
Harvey was born October 5, 1958, in Athens. A 1976 graduate of Athens Academy, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, in history and English from the University of Georgia in 1979. While a student he worked at A&A Bakery. After completing graduate courses in public relations, he was a political consultant in Republican primaries and congressional elections in Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia. More recently he worked in marketing and administrative positions at MCI, Cable and Wireless, Oracle, and Booz Allen Hamilton. He was a member of The Falls Church, Falls Church, Va.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 7, at 11:00 a.m. at Lord and Stephens East (Lexington Road), with Dr. William L. Ross officiating and Dr. William E. Wade delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Lord and Stephens from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the day of the funeral.
The family requests that memorial gifts be made to charities of the donor's choice.
