Patsy Louise Hubbard

Patsy L. (Davison) Hubbard passed away peacefully in her home on January 5, 2021, while surrounded by her family, after a long fight with Alzheimer’s. She was 80 years old.

Patsy was born on December 20, 1940 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia to the late John and Luvie (McDonald) Davison. She was married to the love her life for over 50 years, Herman M. Hubbard. They are both devoted Christians of the Pentecostal faith.

In 2009, she began to show signs of dementia & was later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.  Her loving husband, Herman, has been her primary caregiver and kept her home until her passing.  He affectionately called her his Lovee. She knew beyond doubt that she was loved until her last breath.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her lively laugh and the way she loved people, often entertaining strangers or new acquaintances at family and holiday gatherings. She was a fabulous cook and felt that everyone needed to be surrounded by love and delicious food.  All that knew her would agree that "her worth is far above rubies" as taught in Proverbs 31:10.

Patsy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Susan Cowart (Bubba), Janine Robinson (Bruce), Kevin Pike, and Mickey Pike (Becky); 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren knew they were loved!

The family is grateful for the support given during her long illness, including the many friends and family, the personal caregivers and Bridgeway Hospice.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Hampton-Whitworth Cemetery on Colbert-Diamond Hill Road, Colbert, GA 30628.
