Patricia Pittman Oldham was born in Jackson County on August 17, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Lillie Martin Pittman and was preceded in death by an infant sister and brothers, Grady, Olin, Willard, Wallace, Garnett and Quillian Pittman. She was the widow of Chester Oldham following 47 years of marriage.
Pat retired from Athens First Bank and Trust following 39 years of service. Following retirement, she began working at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she began attending at the age of 9. She taught Sunday School and served on numerous committees. She was a lover of animals. Her cats were Butter and Miracle and her beloved dog was Bear.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Rhonda “Yaya” and Mark Palmer; granddaughter, Brittany Palmer; grandson, Jared Palmer and his wife, Ashley Rae; great grandsons, Carter Neathery and Brooks Neathery; niece, Kay Fair and her daughter Michele and her children Ainsley and Cade; great niece, Dawn Mobley and her son Austin; nephew, Hubert Pittman and his children Robin, Chris, Mandy and Jacob; sisters in law, Jo Ann Hein, Evie Hart (Larry) and other nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 11AM at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 10:30AM.
