Patricia L. Thuma, 75 of Athens, Georgia (formerly of Kettering, Ohio) passed away after a long illness on February 27,2016. She was a 1959 graduate of Belmont High School. She worked for many years as a secretary and a case worker but the position she was most proud of was wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Lorraine Cadot and brothera��ina��law Rod Huemmer.
Patricia is survived by her devote husband of 53 years Don Thuma, children Todd (Rebecca) Thuma of
Winterhaven, Florida, Lisa McCleary (Mike) of Athens, Georgia and Mike Thuma of Indianapolis,
Indiana adored grandchildren Connor and Maddie McCleary and Hannah, Caleb and Noah Thuma,
special sistera��ina��law Gay Huemmer and nephews Jeff (Karen) and Rick (Beth) Huemmer.
After 60 years in Dayton Ohio her and Don moved to Athens, Georgia to participate in the lives of her
young grandchildren, Connor and Maddie where she was front and center to watch their events. She
had a love for traveling with Don in their motorhome. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, clipping
recipes, cooking and talking with friends. She was one to never pass up a good bargain and loved a
good estate sale. She cherished her annual Christmas and birthday shopping trip with her daughter.
The family will have a celebration of her life in her home town of Dayton, Ohio at a date to be
determined.
