Patricia Norris Payne

Patricia Norris Payne passed away peacefully on April 16, 2023, surrounded by her family at the age of 79.  She was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
Born on April 13, 1944, Patricia was the daughter of the late Roy Norris and Frances Johnson Norris. Born in Anderson, South Carolina, Patricia was raised in Bogart, Georgia and was a graduate of Oconee County High School. After graduating from the University of Georgia, she pursued a career in social work with the State of Georgia, retiring after 34 years of faithful service. Patricia married her childhood sweetheart on May 14, 1966 and they moved to Kennesaw where they raised their son, Jonathan.  They returned home to Bogart in their later years where she and Ray built their dream home.
Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Ray; son Jonathan and his wife Kellie; and two grandsons, Austin and Carter. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael (Kathy) Norris and Gary (Pam) Norris.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 20 at Lord and Stephens, West Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ted Tedder officiating. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bogart Baptist Church or Bogart Methodist Church.
