Patricia Diane Nix

Patricia Diane Nix, 76, of Watkinsville, passed away on April 24, 2019.

Born August 4, 1942, Diane was the daughter of the late William Marbut Blackmon and Molligene Wright Blackmon.

Diane is survived by her two sons, Jay (Tammy) Nix and Scott (Sissy) Nix; brother, Bill Blackmon; four grandchildren: Austin Nix, Mollie (Luke) Harvey, Cody (Ellen) Nix, and Callie Nix; and two great-grandchildren, Bowie and Crawford Nix.

Diane was an entrepreneur and talented interior designer who owned and ran her own business, D&L Interiors, for thirty years, first in Snellville and then in Watkinsville. She burned up the roads traveling to see every one of her children and grandchildren's games. Her business and her family were her life, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her entire extended family, including her lifelong friends in the Non-Bridge-Playing Bridge Club. She loved everyone and always went out of her way to help people. She was a true lady.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Lord and Stephens, West Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
