Patricia Jean Ferrin

Patricia Jean Ferrin peacefully passed away in Watkinsville, Georgia on October22, 2022, just days before her 93rd birthday, on a fall Saturday morning surrounded by her family that had gathered to be by her side.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents William and Kathryn Gleason, her 7 brothers and sisters, and her son Michael Ferrin. Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Cathe Stein (Ron), Janet Yohe (Steve); three grandchildren: Rachel Huntoon Marshall (Jeremy), Jenna Waites Cowart (Jim) and Madison Yohe; four great-grandchildren: Ferrin Cowart, Millicent Marshall, Waites Cowart, and Marilyn James Cowart; and nieces and nephew, Michelle Price, Patti Nix (Mike), and Tom Price (Lili).

Patricia, known as “Gami” to her family, was a native of South Florida but had lived on and off over a decade in the Watkinsville, Georgia area with family. She was fiercely independent, quick-witted, and kind. She owned and operated a floral shop in North Palm Beach Florida for over 20 years, The Blossom Boutique. Her love of flowers was evident in all her creations.

“Gami” was always on the go. A big sports fan as well, she loved to watch a baseball, football, or a basketball game as it fed into her night owl tendencies. She was deeply and sincerely touched by any gesture of kindness shown to her by family or friends, new and old. For those that may have only known her briefly her legacy of cheer and happiness stays with them. She will live on forever in the hearts of the family she has left behind, especially her great-grandchildren who constantly amazed her with their love and mere existence. We love you forever, “Gami,” and miss you already.
