Pat Pierson

Pat Pierson, 70, of Cleveland, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Born in Martin, GA to Harold and Ruth Vandiver, Pat retired from the state of Georgia where she worked at the Welcome Center in Lavonia. She then enjoyed working as secretary for East Athens Baptist Church, where she was a member. Her favorite job in life was being mom to her two beloved daughters before she was promoted to “Grandmommie.” Photography was her great passion, especially taking photographs of her family. Pat loved the Lord with all her heart, and her faith was everything to her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Gracie Elizabeth Bell.

Pat is survived by her two daughters: Kelly (Avery) Clark and Courtney (Robert) Bell; siblings: Anne (Allen) Marcengill, Jane (Walt) Abel, Bob Vandiver, and Sue Vandiver; grandchildren: Elliott Clark, Evie (Vaughn) Pinson, Emma (Corey) Bailey, Jack Clark, Mollie Bell, and Grayson Bell; great-grandchildren: Everett Bailey, Lawson Bailey, Stella Bailey, and Isla Pinson; and Charley, Pat’s precious furbaby. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24 at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service. A private interment will be held at Franklin Springs Cemetery.
