Carlton, GA - Albert S. "Pat" Paul, 89, died August 7, 2007.
A native of Oglethorpe County, GA, he was a son of the late Thomas Fletcher and Fannie Carter Paul. Mr. Paul was a retired mechanic and was employed with Georgia Marble and Dixie Granite Companies. Mr. Paul served in the United States Navy during World War II, and was a deacon and member of Carlton Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 9, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Carlton Baptist Church with Revs. David Burt and Dwight Duhon officiating. Interment will be in Carlton Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Delphine and Thomas Kay of Cleveland, GA, Nita and Johnny Gunnells of Hull, GA; one sister, Louise Paul Glenn of Carlton, GA; grandchildren, Pam and Bobby Hill, Jan Kay, Kelly Smith, Julie and Adam Ledford, J. J. Gunnells; great grandchildren, Rob and Jennifer Hill, Brad and Michelle Hill; a number of nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Carlton Baptist Church or Millstone Baptist Church.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
