Parks Brown

Parks Brown, 79, died December 31, 2014.
A native of Elbert County, GA, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. David C. Brown of Elberton. Mr. Brown was a member of Beech Haven Baptist Church for many years and retired from Kroger Grocery Stores after thirty-six years. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 4:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST with Dr. Stewart B. Simms, Jr. and Rev. John Walker officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 3:00 until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, LaVerne V. Brown; daughter and son-in-law, Anita B. (Gene, M.D.) Ferri of Duluth, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Parks H. (Joy T.) Brown, Jr. of Marietta, GA; sister-in-law, Mary P. Brown of Elberton, GA; two grandchildren, Parks H. Brown, IV and Hannah J. Brown; a host of nieces and nephews.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
