Bogart, GA - Oma Gene McCormick Crowe, 83, died June 30, 2014.
A native of Orlando, FL, she was the daughter of the late Theron Cecil and Elizabeth Whitehead McCormick and was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Luther M. "Pete" Crowe. Gene was an election poll worker in Oconee County for over 19 years and a longtime member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Mason Crowe (Loraine) of Colorado Springs, CO, Julie Crowe Auten (Dale) of Murrayville, and Pam Crowe Patat (Eddie) of Bishop; grandchildren, Justin Crowe (Jamie), Erin Watson (Dan), Morgan Smith (Josh), Anna Kate Auten, Bethany Auten, Kelli Thompson (Jake) and Laura Patat; great grandchildren, Emory Thompson, Sawyer Watson and Caroline Crowe.
Memorial services will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Mars Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
