Bishop, GA - Olivia Klutz Dickens Thomas, 100, died June 10, 2007.
A native and lifelong resident of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late
J. Tom, Sr. and Olivia Malcom Dickens and was preceded in death by 7 sisters and 6 brothers. She and her husband, the late Bradford A. Thomas celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary before his death in 1985. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Flat Rock Homemakers Club, Watkinsville Garden Club and Watkinsville First Christian Church.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park with Rev. Drs. Franklin Shumake and Ray Austin officiating.
Survivors include her children, Mildred Olivia Thomas Rice of Bogart and William Jerry Thomas, Sr. and his wife JoAnne Malcom Thomas of Bishop; sister, Ruth Dickens Crowe of Bogart; grandchildren, Dr. John Thomas Rice, Major Barton Rice, Jr., Katie Olivia Rice Moss, William Jerry Thomas, Jr. and Sara Thomas Shepherd; 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Watkinsville First Christian Church, P.O. Box 287, Watkinsville, GA 30677 or a charity of choice.
