Ola (Christopher) Sorrow

Ola Christopher Sorrow, 73, went to be with God on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Landmark Hospital due to complications from major surgery on December 30, 2013.
A native of Clarke County, she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Evelyn A. Christopher and was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Christopher. She was a longtime member of East Athens Baptist Church where she has served in many capacities over the years. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 1:30 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will follow at Winterville Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of forty-nine and a half years, Cecil Sorrow; three children, Mark (Hilda) Sorrow, Patty (Johney) Friar and Matthew (Rhonda) Sorrow; two sisters, Miss Alice Christopher and Martha Gillispie; two grandsons, Thomas Sorrow and Eli Sorrow.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
