Lexington - Okee H. Palmer, 92, of Palmer Road, Lexington, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Quiet Oaks Nursing Home.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late John Henry and Laura Skeleton Palmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl (Trick) Palmer. He was a retired Minister and Farmer and a member of the Pentecost Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, at the Pentecost Chapel with the Rev. Ty Sorrells, Rev. Butch Robert, and Rev. Frank Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Survivors include Three Sons: Charles and Hilda Palmer of Lexington, Gary and Naomi Palmer of Crawford, and Marvin and Brenda Palmer of Statham. Two Sisters: Pearl Thaxton of Rayle, and Marie Sisk of Lexington. Ten Grandchildren, Nineteen Great-grandchildren, and Three Great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel.
