Oh B. Kwon

Dr. Oh B. Kwon, 76, of Statham, Ga., passed this life peacefully at this home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, surrounded by his family.
Dr. Kwon was born in Seoul, Korea, and immigrated to the United States in 1967 on a medical training scholarship. After completing his training at the Medical College of Georgia, he settled in Athens, Georgia and had a long and productive career as a pediatrician.
His greatest joy was the care he provided to his patients, who grew up to bring their own children for pediatric care. After practicing for more than 30 years, he retired in 2005, and pursued his second great passion, which was playing golf and traveling with his family and numerous friends.
Dr. Kwon was a devoted and caring husband and a beloved father and grandfather. His is survived by his loving wife, Heng Ja Kwon, his children Young Kim, Susan Kwon, and Robert Kwon and his grandchildren, Benjamin and Daniel.
