Norma Golden White

Norma Golden White, 82, of Athens, died on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Born in Americus and raised in her beloved Ellaville, she was the only daughter of the late Charles Otis Golden and Sara Lou Smith Golden. Norma attended Chase Street Elementary and was a 1959 graduate of Athens High School. She also attended the University of Georgia where she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Norma was a longtime member of Athens First United Methodist Church, Thompson’s Farm and the Athens High Hens Group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” White.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Kimberly White Sullivan, Laura White Barksdale and Addison Andrew Barksdale, Sr.; grandchildren, Trent Sullivan (Olivia), Sarah Sullivan Lenard (Patton), Ferrell Sullivan, Molly Sullivan, Collier Barksdale, Morgan Barksdale and Addison Barksdale, Jr. and great-grandchild, Ember Sullivan.

Memorial services will be Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10:00 am at Athens First United Methodist Church. Burial will be private.
