Norma Phyllis Allsopp Ward, 87, died Friday, March 1, 2013.
A native of Gainesville, FL, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Norma Ethel Gay Allsopp. She was a graduate of Florida State College for Women, receiving her AB in Art History in 1949. She was employed by the Central Intelligence Agency and was prominent among the Whitehouse First Ladies Support Group under Mrs. Reagan, Bush, and Clinton..
Survivors include her husband: Albert Wimpy Ward; sons: Eric Allsopp Ward, Keith Alexander Ward, Andrew Kenneth Ward; sister: Miriam Brunskill (resident in England) ; grandchildren: Katherine Ruth Ward, Allison Anne Ward, Thomas Taskin Ward and John Taskin Ward.
Funeral services will be held at the Ashford Memorial Methodist Church in Watkinsville, Sunday, March 17. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Watkinsville Cemetery Fund.
