Norma H. Brown McGlamery

Athens - Norma H. Brown McGlamery, 97, of 960 Hawthorne Avenue, died November 15, 2005. The family expresses appreciation to the nurses and staff at Athens Heritage Home, for their excellent care, where Mrs. McGlamery was a resident for the past 6 ½ years.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Lars and Etta Hunt. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude L. Brown and was the widow of John R. McGlamery. Mrs. McGlamery was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST with Revs. Robert Passmore and Curtis Hammond officiating. Interment will be in Gordon's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Brunelle L. and Gale Brown of Hull; daughter and son-in-law, Remelle B. and Leroy Hawks of Whiteville, NC; sister, Beatrice H. Hooper of Commerce; grandson and his wife, Jerry and Sue Hawks of Whiteville, NC; great granddaughter, Hillary Hawks of Savannah; 1 niece and 1 great niece.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and will be at the residence of Brunelle and Gale Brown, 991 Smith Road, Hull, GA 30646.
