Athens - Norma Irene Heaton Diss, 77, wife of Jesse Diss, died Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Grandview Nursing Home.
Born in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Carrie Gray Heaton. She was a member of Bluestone Baptist Church and had worked as a secretary for Athens Regional Medical Center.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters; Lynne Iannuzzi of Lakeland, FL, Kathy (Jeff) Dickinson of Danielsville, GA, David Diss of Chestnut Mountain, GA, Marilyn (Ken) Herwig of Oak Ridge, TN, brothers; Clyde Heaton of Aiken, SC and Wallace Heaton of Aiken, SC, sister, Vivian Harper of Monroe, GA, grandchildren; Jared Dickinson, Kara (Mark) Wright, Jesse Dickinson, Kelsey Dickinson, Nathan (Susan) Iannuzzi, Carrie Iannuzzi, Aaron Iannuzzi, Joshua Herwig, Benjamin Herwig, Jessica Herwig, Jeremy Herwig, Matthew Herwig and one great granddaughter, Chloe Iannuzzi.
Funeral services will be held 3PM, Tuesday, at Bluestone Baptist Church with Revs. Ray Jenkins and George Lovely officiating. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 to 9 at the funeral home and the family will be at the residence of her daughter Kathy Dickinson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
