Norma Jean Cochran, 82, of Loganville passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Born on May 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Rudolph Wilson and Laura Cornelia Kent Wilson.
Affectionately known as Granny by many, she was a devoted christian and was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church for 30+ years. Granny was dedicated to her family, enjoyed crafts, sewing, cooking, played the piano and had a special place in her heart for children. She radiated kindness and joy and always had a smile on her face.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Donald Cochran; sister, Bernice Carter (Eddie); brother, James Wilson (Luzie); great granddaughter, Piper Jean Needham.
Survivors include her children, Charlotte Connell (David), Alan Cochran, Sandra Alegria (Allan), Jason Cochran; grandchildren, Chad Needham, Laura Rollins (Trey), Krista Wheeler, Ashlee Cochran, Kiersten Fraire, Haley Burns (Landon); 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Center Hill Baptist Church, 6372 GA-20 Loganville, GA 30052, at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association , Children Healthcare of Atlanta , or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
