Noah William Alewine (Papa), 81, died August 4, 2006.
Born in Clarke County, he was the son of the late James Paul and Lizzy Cordelia Norris Alewine and widower of Callie Mae Lord Alewine. Mr. Alewine was owner of Athens Auto Wrecking and a prize freshwater turtle hunter.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 7, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. Revs. Jamie Doster and Clay Huff will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Alewine, Mike Alewine, Obrine Alewine, Larry Alewine, Terry Alewine, Paul Alewine, Buddy Alewine and Buck Alewine.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Alewine of Colbert; son, Bobby Alewine of Daytona Beach, FL; brother, Tony Alewine of Hull; grandchildren, Bo Alewine, Joe Alewine, Robby Alewine, Shane Alewine and Bobby Alewine; great grandchildren, Josh Alewine, Terrance Alewine, Tyler Alewine, Bryce Alewine and Callie Nichole Alewine; numerous nieces and nephews and very special friend, Peggy Samples.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
