Nettie Christine (Crowe) Hudson

Nettie Christine Crowe Hudson, age 63, of Statham, GA, passed away on July 29, 2015. Raised in Stone Mountain, GA, Chris graduated from Clarkston High School. Formerly a 15 year resident of Greensboro, GA, Chris moved closer to family members in the Bogart area two years ago. She was an avid gardener, creating a show worthy lawn as well as abundant fruits and vegetables that she loved to can and put away for the winter. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time at her home in Florida.
Preceded in death by her mother, Myrtis Annie Crowe and father, Grover Eugene Crowe, of Lake Oconee, GA, and brothers, Troy Worthey of Hartwell, GA, Roy Lee Crowe of Mexico Beach, Fl, Joe Aubrey Crowe of Lithonia, GA, as well as sister, Sybill Hansford of Stone Mountain, GA.
Survivors include husband of 23 years, Starke V. Hudson of Atlanta, GA, stepdaughter, Tiffany M Hudson of Athens, GA, brothers Dan (and Cheryl) Crowe and Herman (Sherry) Crowe, Teresa Crowe of Mexico City, FL as well as many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Chris is also survived by her previous husband of 21 years, Gene Maddox of Dacula, GA.
Chris and Starke have been long time, devoted supporters of the Christian City Children's Village. A Memorial Service will be held for Chris Hudson on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at Lord & Stephens, Westside, (1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, GA) with the family receiving friends at 11:00 A.M. until service time.
