Ila - Nellie Adams, 93, died September 13, 2009.
A native of Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late John and Ida Collins Pace and was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Adams; and son, Carlton Adams. Mrs. Adams was a longtime resident of this area and was a member of First Baptist Church of Athens.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Dr. Jon Appleton and Rev. Becky Matheny officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Bill Fleeman of Ila; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and June Pace of Macon, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Johnnie Huey of Bowdon, Ga.; grandchildren, David and Vicky Adams, Rachel Fleeman, John Adams and Adam and Dani Fleeman; and three great-grandchildren, Morgan Adams, Matt Adams and Tyler Adams.
Pallbearers will be Fred Adams, Gene Adams, Morgan Wheeler, Bill Braselton, Clay Pace, Chuck Huey, Ed Jaindl and John Braselton.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Celebrating Grace Hymnal Fund, First Baptist Church of Athens, 355 Pulaski St., Athens, GA 30601.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
