Nella Jo (Nash) McDaris

Nella Jo Nash McDaris, daughter of the late DeWitt Nash and Inez Thigpen Nash, passed away February 26, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Jo was predeceased by her devoted husband, James A. McDaris, Sr. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Stephens (Tom); sons: James A. McDaris, Jr. (Pam), John D. McDaris, Sr. (Ellen); grandchildren Brian Tuck (Adrea), Tiffany Tuck (Joel Lerner), John D. McDaris, Jr., Jared McDaris; great-grandchildren Amber Tuck, Jacob Tuck, Adam Tuck; sister Rosalind Robert (Shelby); many nephews and nieces, including special caregiver Katy Andersen.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens at 2:00 p.m.
