Nathan "Nate" Stewart McCarty

Nathan Stewart McCarty, 24, passed away suddenly on January 25, 2022. Born in Athens, GA, he was the son of Mark Christopher McCarty of Bowman and Shannon Stewart-McCarty of Athens. Nate currently worked as the Lead of Footwear at Dick’s Sporting Goods and was attending Athens Technical College. He was an avid Georgia Bulldawg Fan. In addition to his parents Nate is survived by a sister: Presley Mae McCarty; maternal grandfather: Larry D. Stewart and one aunt LaReece Stewart. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Juanita K. Stewart; paternal grandparents; Billy Alton McCarty and Nettie Mae McCarty and an aunt, Diane Hilley. A memorial service celebrating the life of Nate will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1PM at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Friday, January 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
