Nathalie Helen Aloycia (Donnes) Miller

Mrs. Nathalie Helen Aloycia Donnes Miller died peacefully in her sleep on the evening of Wednesday, February 6, 2013, and has returned to her Lord. She was 90 years young, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand William and Myra Amanda Robinson Donnes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Edward Miller, and sister, Audrey Mae Donnes Holder.
Mrs. Miller was born in Taylor, Honduras, and grew up in New Orleans, La. She married her loving husband of nearly 60 years during World War II, and then raised her family in Fresno, Calif., where she worked for many years for Pacific Gas & Electric Company. She and her husband retired to Bay St. Louise, Miss., in 1976, then moved to Athens in 2001 to be closer to family.
Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish, in Athens. She will be remembered by all as a gentle, gregarious, and gracious wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Few that met her did not immediately like her.
Mrs. Miller was the loving mother of three children: Patricia Marie Winegar, of Sugar Hill, Paula Jean Simons, of Fresno, Calif., and L. Stephen Miller, of Athens. She is additionally survived by her daughter-in-law, Christina Jarvis Miller; brother, John Bertrand Donnes; and many younger step-brothers and step-sisters. She also has seven grandchildren: William Simons, Steven and Brian Stephenson, Stephanie Engelerdt, Christopher and Natalie Winegar, and Katherine Miller; and two great-grandchildren: Maeve and Jimmy Engelerdt.
Mrs. Miller will be interred alongside her husband at Fresno Memorial Gardens, Fresno, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Catholic Social Services or to St. Mary's Hospice House are requested.
