Naomi Alwayne Wood, 89, died April 21, 2011.
She was the daughter of the late Lillie Arnold and Ferd Monroe Logan and the widow of Thomas L. Wood. Mrs. Wood was also preceded in death by her siblings, Millard (Opal) Logan, Alice (Charles) Tate, Annie (Guy) White, Horace Logan, Hubert Logan and Robert Paul.
Funeral services will be Monday, April 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will be in Attica Cemetery. Rev. Ray Jenkins will officiate.
Survivors include three sons, John Wood of Stone Mountain, Ronald Wood of Decatur and Earl Wood of Tucker; brother, Herbert (Anne) Logan of Athens; sisters, Aldine (Ray) Marden of Athens and Hilda Lance (Bill) Bowman of Watkinsville; sister-in-law, Ree Logan of Athens; four grandsons and three great grandsons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from noon until service time.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
