Nancy Nevels

Nancy Richards Nevels, 66, wife of Stephen Michael Nevels, passed on to the Promise Land on January 11, 2019 in Athens, Georgia. Nancy was born in Port St. Joe, Florida and was the daughter of Hubert Earl Richards and Katrina Williams Richards. Nancy worked as a Staff Accountant for many years at the Administrative Office of the Courts in the Judicial Branch of Georgia. She was an active member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Athens, Georgia. Nancy's most important jobs in her life were being a wonderful wife, a fantastic loving mother and grandmother, a true caring friend to so many people, and most of all, a devoted servant of God. Survivors in addition to her husband Steve include three children: Jeffrey C. Little, April Little, and Burgundy Little French; sisters: Gayle Youmans and Vicky Richards Lanza. Five grandchildren: D.J. Marquis Morning, Brandon Lee Davis, Lindsey Nevels, Jaydan Little and Kennedy Little. A Celebration of Life service for Nancy will be held at a later date.
