Nancy Eugenia (Autry) Dellinger

Nancy Eugenia Dellinger of Watkinsville, GA, passed away on July 16, 2017 at the age of 78.
Born Nancy Eugenia Autry in Oconee County, GA, she was the first born of Hoyt and Lois Autry and named after her maternal grandfather Eugene McCurley. She graduated with the first consolidated class of Oconee County High School in 1957. Eugenia was a 3rd generation and lifelong member of Mars Hill Baptist Church where she taught the 5 year old Sunday School class for well over 30 years. She touched the lives of many Oconee County children, not only in Sunday School, but also as a parapro kindergarten teacher with the Oconee County Public School System where she as employed for many years. Eugenia was an avid gardener and loved working in her beautiful yard and garden. She was always collecting and growing a vast assortment of plants.
Eugenia was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Lois Autry, her husband Lester Dellinger, a son Michael Dellinger, her brother Dwayne Autry and her sister Gayle Hunter. She is survived by son Randy Dellinger (Carol), daughter Marie Coulter (Tim), daughter-in-law Natelie Dellinger-Gascay, grandchildren, Clarie Dellinger Clack, Sanders Dellinger, Lauren Dellinger, Michael Dellinger, Michael Coulter, Matthew Coulter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Tim Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 prior to the service.
