Bogart - Myrl L. Fuller Brooks, 89, formerly of Mars Hill Road, Bogart, GA died July 7, 2005 at Family Life Enrichment Center.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Mattie Lou Parham and Benjamin Moses Logan, and the widow of D. J. Fuller and Herman Brooks. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters as well as a grandson, Wade Wages, a great-granddaughter, Celestia Medley and a great-great-grandson, Jacob Medley. She was employed at Athens Regional Medical Center as a nurse for many years and was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate. Interment will be in Attica Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Don Fuller of Monroe and Charles Fuller of Calhoun, GA; daughter, Barbara Evans of Okeechobee, FL; stepdaughter, Gwen Carson of Bogart; two sisters, Juette Hill of Covington and Elese Rollins of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Evans, Rick Wages, Chip Fuller, Buck Williams, Darrell Sosbee, and Johnny Carson. Benjamin Fuller will be an honorary pallbearer.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Mars Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Family Life Enrichment Center for their attention and care to Mrs. Brooks.
