Myra Smith Williams, 82, died Monday, May 2, 2005.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was a daughter of the late C. A. and Carrie Venable Smith, and the widow of Alton Williams. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Buford, H. A., Tom, Talmadge, Donald, and Bill, and a sister, Mary Nell Morgan.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Rev. Lee Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include a sister, Blanche Wilkins of Colbert; three brothers, James E. Smith of Comer, H. G. Smith of Crawford, and Robert A. Smith of Colbert; a number of nieces and nephews.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
