Mustaine Zachary Smith, 26, of Watkinsville, GA died on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Born in Athens, GA he was the son of George and Trudy Smith. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Henry Smith and Elsie Jeannie Smith and maternal grandfather, Gary Eugene Ross. He worked as a mechanic at Madison County Hardware. Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife Joy McCants Smith; children: Chandler William Smith, Clarie Elizabeth Smith, Sarah Abigail Smith; siblings: Chaves Michael (Shea) Smith, Keidis Anthony Smith and Paisley Saraya (Chris Couch) Smith; maternal grandmother: Donna Louise Harrington Ross; father and mother-in-law: Howard “Chuck” and Geraldine “Geri” McCants and his fur babies, Boomer and Lylah. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the funeral home and a time of sharing and remembrance will be at 4:30.
