Montine Eberhart Hammond, 98, of Arnoldsville passed away on August 18, 2024. Born on May 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Ray Kiser and Gertrude Ward Kiser.
Montine was a faithful member of Arnoldsville Baptist Church and was a fervent prayer warrior. She was the past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Athens Chapter. She loved gardening and growing flowers. She will be forever remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William “Bill” Eberhart, Henry Lewis Hammond; grandson, Andy Eberhart.
Survivors include her children, Lynda Norman, Billy Eberhart (Sally), Debra Johnson; grandchildren, Amy (Jonathan) Tolbert, Jason (Audrey) Norman, Will Eberhart (Sara), Stephane Ellen Eberhart, Nicholas Warner, Tricia Johnson, Danielle (Sean) Kiogima, Daniel Johnson (Katherine), Laura (Adam) Kemp; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Henderson, Syble Langley.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, East, Athens with Nathan Palmer and Jonathan Tolbert officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arnoldsville Baptist Church at 240 Yancey Rd, Arnoldsville, GA, United States, Georgia.
