Monica S. Burnette, 32, died July 21, 2005.
A native and lifelong resident of Athens, she was the daughter of Michael Burnette and the late Patsy Ash Burnette. She was a BSN graduate of Georgia Baptist School of Nursing. She was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church and served on numerous mission trips to Russia, China, Cambodia and Las Vegas.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 31, 2005 at 3:00 PM at Prince Avenue Baptist Church with Revs. Bill Ricketts and Doug Nix officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 until 3:00 PM Sunday.
Honorary pallbearers will be nurses and members of the Singles Sunday School Class at Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her father include a brother, Jonathan Burnette, grandmother, Fredna Jackson, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.
