Mitchell Don Coker, 26, died in Athens on September 18, 2020.
Mitch was a 2012 graduate of Elbert County High School and was currently working with USDA. He had a great love for cars, trucks, and anything with a motor, and had previously worked as a mechanic. Mitch was a motorcycle enthusiast who was happiest while riding his bike and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Angie Gail Stanley and her husband Billy and Don Juan Coker and his wife Pam; brother, Justin Coker; step-brother, Cole Stanley; grandparents: Mickey Guffey, Gail Guffey, Luther Coker, Shirley Coker, and Jeanette Guffey; and numerous friends that he loved as family and was loved by them in return.
Memorial services celebrating Mitch’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 23, at 5 o’clock at the Elberton Philomathean Masonic Lodge #25, of which he was a member. Casual attire is requested.
Flowers are accepted and should be delivered to the Lodge on Wednesday. Those wishing to help offset final expenses may do so by donating to the Venmo account, @MitchCoker-FE, which is in the care of Amber Drake Trotter.
