Miriam Elizabeth Diaz, age 65, passed away August 1, 2012.
Mrs. Diaz worked with Blue Ridge Paper Company for 29 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel G. Diaz, and father, David A. "Buddy" Floyd.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Verna & Gene Hearn; daughter, Mary Beth Diaz; son, David Diaz; brothers, Kerry Floyd, Joel Floyd, Jeffrey Floyd, and Chris Floyd; step-sisters, Gail Robinson and Fran McGee; step-brother, Gary Hearn; granddaughter, Kyra Medina; grandson, Nathan Medina; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, Beth Bryson, Riley Othmer, Peter Medina, and Jordon Medina.
A memorial service will be held 1PM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel. Reverend Argin Floyd will officiate.
