Minnie Faye Moon

Comer, Ga - Minnie Faye Moon, age 94, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012. A native of Madison County Ms. Moon was the daughter of the late Van and Leila Brooks Scarboro. She is preceded in death by her husband J.B. Moon, son, Van Bethel Moon, daughter, Zula Moon Childers Helton, 5 sisters and 1 brother. Ms. Moon was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was owner of Moon's BBQ and Grocery. Ms. Moon was also a seamstress for 31 years at Blue Bell.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 @ 3 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Rev. James Creason will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include; son, Joe (Susan) Moon, 7 grandchildren; Lynnitte Umbehant, Faye Johnson, Jeff Childers, Diane Russell, Sheri Landreth, David Moon and Dennis Moon. 20 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 pm.
