Athens - Minnie W. Howington, 84, died peacefully January 4, 2006 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Clarke County, she was the daughter of the late James Humphrey Williams and Maggie Hammond Williams. She was preceded in death by her Sweetheart and husband of 49 years, Robert Bryant Howington. She was a member of the Princeton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Robert England of Athens; sisters, Ezelle and Jimmy Hale of Athens, Betty Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA; brother, James T. and Naomi Williams of Athens; grandson, Terry and June England and their children, Andrew, Justin, Lauren and Sean Michael England, Christopher, Richard, Devin and Brittany Hamel; grandson, Kenneth and Lora England and their children, Noah England, Lindsey and Meagan McClendon; granddaughter, Kathy and Henry Fitzpatrick and their children, Kyle and Spence Dalton, Cody and Clint Fitzpatrick; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2006, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Revs. Russell Repetske, Jr. and Charles Jones will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
