Danielsville - Milton O. Davis, 63, died September 16, 2006.
Born in Clarke County, he was a son of the late Carolyn Knighton and Hope Patton Davis, Sr., and was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Davis.
Mr. Davis was retired from the University of Georgia and was a member of Moonís Grove Baptist Church. He was a charter member of the Madison County Touchdown Club and a member of the Athens Touchdown Club. He was also a member of John H. Jones Masonic Lodge in Danielsville and was an active volunteer with Red Cross.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 19, 2006, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Rev. Dan Fuller will officiate. Interment will be in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Spence Davis; sons and daughter-in-law, E. Patton and Sheila James Davis, and C. Martin Davis, all of Danielsville; brother and sister-in-law, Hope Patton (Mary Jane) Davis, Jr. of Jacksonville, AL; grandchildren, Spencer Patton Davis and Alexi Elise Davis; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Armour, Arthur Bastidas, Doug Hill, Jeff May, Ricky McElroy, George Strickland, and Russell Vandiver.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Leukemia Society or the Athens Red Cross.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
