Athens - Mildred E. Wright, 78, died Monday, June 8, 2009.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Lord & Stephens, East. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Originally from Commerce, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Inez Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Newsome of Athens; and brother, Frank Moore of Norcross.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Lynn Childers of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Alex, Austin and Ava Childers; as well as several nieces and nephews.
